    Cone Problems

Then if it keeps happening with the cone, I'd bet you could take it off. I'm glad to hear the area looks good! Try your best though - the cone will help prevent complications. I know a lot of cats, esp the males, don't get cones after their neuter, but you never know if they'll lick the area...

    Cone Problems

Is it held on by a fabric tie? I had to tighten it. Make sure you can still get 2 fingers under it. How is his incision looking? Scabbed?

My Boyfriend is constantly Chasing and teasing my cats, what should I do.

I'm going to echo everyone else, even though it might fall on deaf ears... Move on from this guy. Anyone who thinks it's okay and funny to terrorize ANY animal is not a good person to be with - especially because you said it isn't okay with you. #1 in a partner is that he respects you. If there...

Injury on Stray. Should I be Worried?

There's also a possibility he did that to himself - allergies or something too. The fact that a lot of hair is missing makes me wonder.

Keeping Kitties from getting Bored / How to Control / Display Video Remotely

I've programmed our TV to come on. Unfortunately you're stuck with antenna TV if you only do streaming. But I program mine to play CBS or NBC or something for an hour or two in the evenings. They're used to hearing TV and it's better than deafening silence all the time. You're a good cat parent...

    Post-Neuter Care

Make a smaller space for him - maybe a bathroom? If he comes home with a cone on, leave it. Watch incision for redness, pus, etc. They'll give you instructions when you pick him up. Thank you for getting him neutered!

My cat purring at everyone but me

I agree - try not to worry about the purring. It sounds like he likes you and is content and happy with you, so that's what matters. I have/had some very loving cats who rarely purr.

Picture of the Month Competition: April 2024: Cats and Clothing

ENTRY: Sophie She climbed in the sleeve of my robe. I had to prop my arm up on something until she decided she was ready to leave her sleeve hammock!

    I need help and assurance

If the collar is hard for eating/drinking, try elevating the bowls. Use individual bowls and put them up higher so the cone doesn't hit the floor.

I can't keep my cat still long enough to do warm compress.

I agree... the warm compress might not be worth it if she really hates it. Is she still wearing a cone?

    What do they hate-love?

    That's an interesting thought!

    What breed is my cat?

His coloring is so cool! I love the dark patches - they're probably from the "marbled" look of a classic tabby. Very handsome boy.

    What do they hate-love?

My cats crack me up... They both hate... and love... the vacuum! We have a little house and use a Dyson stick vacuum every day. They don't like the vacuum to approach them too closely, but they both will perch and watch it. Okay, so I figure they just want to keep eyes on their "nemesis". But...

How to coax an indoor cat back inside?

Would it be possible for father in law to sit near where she's at in a chair and a blanket? Maybe just sit and read a book for a while. Perhaps she'll see/smell him and think "I could go for a cuddle with my dad" and come out to him? Sometimes tromping around and calling seems...
